Transfer News - Part 2

FC Barcelona silencing the haters with a golden transfer window

Before we start with the transfer window talks, we should give a round of applause to FC Barcelona Management Board that including President Joan Laporta,  Director of FC Barcelona Mateu Alemany, and his team of Barca enthusiasts Ramon Planes and Jordi Cruff for their relentless work in building Barcelona squad and bringing FC Barcelona to the spot where it deserves to be.

Before Transfer News:

This transfer window has been golden for Barcelona. We have signed some key players, some players being marquee signings and some being signings to strengthen the squad. But all the players who have come are having one and only one desire. The desire to become part of Xavi's plan for rebuilding FC Barcelona.

Xavi's plan has created a lot of buzz in the footballing world. The way his players play, and the game style all have caused speculations in a good manner. Not only that, players are training harder than before, and double sessions for pre-season excellence have made FC Barcelona move towards success again.

Transfer Talks and News:

Last week FC Barcelona announced the signing of Robert Lewandowski from FC Bayern Munich. This has shocked the whole world. A fee of  45 Million Euros plus 10 Million Euros in Variables was agreed by Bayern last week. This move is beneficial in a number of ways for FC Barcelona, Robert will bring the skill of a poacher to the squad. We need to score goals and we were lacking in that region since the departure of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi. He is not only ferocious in front of goal, the conduct of a world-class striker is what our squad needs. Young Barcelona players can learn a lot from him. This is why Barcelona pushed for him and we have got our man!
With this signing, I truly feel Barcelona is trying to adopt this saying:
"Attack is the best defense!"

With this, the Robert Lewandowski saga has ended and ended pretty well for both sides.

Now shifting focus to our defense area, we are trying to hijack the move of Chelsea who is trying to get Jules Kounde. A lot of speculation is happening about this transfer. Chelsea is trying to get Jules Kounde for big wages. FC Barcelona can simply not afford to give such amount of wages to young players as then the whole Barthomeau situation will pop up again. But according to reports from Gerard Romero, Jules Kounde has agreed on personal terms with FC Barcelona and Barca is in advanced talks with Sevilla FC for a potential transfer. These claims are being denied by Fabrizio Romano who is a very reliable source too. Whatever happens, Barcelona needs to find backup because Chelsea is not willing to let Jules Kounde go away from Stamford Bridge.

We are heavily linked with Inigo Martinez, who plays as a Left Centre Back (LCB) for Athletic Club Bilbao. He is a naturally left-footed Centre Back. We are targeting him but not for this summer. His contract expires in the summer of 2023, and FC Barcelona loves getting free agents. But according to me, dealing with Athletic Club Bilbao is very tough. They will make it even tougher for FC Barcelona as they will demand huge transfer fees. This is because if Inigo Martinez joins FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao needs to replace him with another Basque-born center-back. It is their policy.

We are also linked up with Cesar Azpilicueta, but honestly, he wouldn't make massive and drastic changes to our back-line.  Hence FC Barcelona should be cautious and should look for a good but quality center-back in this transfer window.

In my opinion, I would love to see Goncalo Inacio. He currently plays as a center-back for Primeira Liga Club Sporting CP.  He is 20 years old and can be a very good potential for FC Barcelona.

In conclusion, FC Barcelona is yet to make a marquee signing in the back-line of the squad. I have full faith that this summer we soon will hear a marquee center-back and we culers will love to see Jules Kounde. With new signings now taking part in training sessions, Xavi feels confident and becomes ambitious about winning a trophy this season. This will be XAVI's ERA at FC Barcelona again.

Till then,

Visca El Barca!
